Where the Chemistry Happens…

An experienced product owner based in the US has left BASF SC Planning and Visibility product family. A replacement within NA is required to consult BASF internal business partners in SC planned related questions for projects and ongoing activities

Formula for Success: You Will…

  • Working within an agile team setup. Join agile ceremonies. E.g. Daily Standup Call, Sprint Review, Retrospective, take over proactive user stories and complete it. Join Team journey meetings

  • Reach actively reach out to colleagues / customers in case of questions. E.g. user story refinement, ticket questions, how-to topics

  • Consult BASF internal planners in case of process or IT related questions within their planning area. E.g. check system behavior, explain planning result to planners, adjust master data and to fix issues, reach out to software vendor and request bugfixes

  • Educate yourself with into new trends related to planning. E.g. OMP and strengthen T-Shape model, share knowledge within planning team in knowledge sharing sessions, use slack time days.

  • Rollouts: Join / organize Fit-Gap workshops, collect requirements, prepare rollouts, conduct UAT with planners, plan go live and support within the after go live phase.

Ingredients for Success: What We Look for in You…

  • College degree in the area of computer science or similar.

  • Experience in development or IT consulting with focus on supply chain planning solutions.

  • Excellent communication skills in English.

  • In-depth knowledge around planning solutions.

  • SC planning process knowledge.

  • ERP knowledge in the area of manufacturing.

  • Experience with agile development methods like Scrum.

  • Agile Certification(s) from Scrum Alliance, or SAFe (or others).

  • Experience with LeanUX, Design Thinking

  • Knowledge of Atlassian tools such as Jira, Confluence

  • Programming language like ABAP or C

  • SC Planning experience for 2-5 years (e.g. Demand Planning, Supply Network Planning, Detailed Scheduling, Optimization, Data Integration)

  • Technical affinity

  • Takeover small development tasks and implement small changes

  • Open mindset

  • Openness to new trends and innovative solutions.

  • Willingness to learn and adopt into new planning tools

  • The will and ability to drive change to achieve business goals.

  • Ability to work in a multicultural team spread across the globe

  • Start a training path to OMP, Rollout of OMP as a replacement of SAP APO

  • Learning by doing / shadowing a colleague. Actively pull and take over tasks and work self-organized
