Roles and Responsibilities – General

  • Practice safety and housekeeping in the performance of job duties.

  • Execute maintenance tasks in a quality manner to avoid rework.

  • Complete job feedback forms:

  • Critique work

  • Critique job plan including planned hours and task lists

  • Provide feedback to planner on quality of job plan detail and accuracy

  • Document actual time spent

  • Document work repair history – detailed description of what was done: “as found, as left”

  • Identify any additional work required

  • Participate in 5S activities to maintain a clean and orderly work area.

  • Provide support for site reliability efforts.

  • Participate in RCFA’s and PHA’s, as necessary.

  • Identify potential bad actors.

  • Identify opportunities for continuous improvement and innovation.

  • Communicate with supervision and Production.

  • Protect the environment, health, safety, and security of our employees, contractors, carriers, distributors, visitors, customers, and neighbors.

Roles and Responsibilities – Electrical Systems

  • Provides direct support in the preventative maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair of electrical systems.

  • Install, troubleshoot and repair all types of electrical equipment.

  • Install, troubleshoot and program variable frequency drives.

  • Monitor and maintain power distribution systems.

  • Maintain site emergency generators.

  • Appropriate size and pull wire.

  • Properly bend and install rigid metal conduit in electrically classified areas.

  • Maintain Delaware Journeyman Electrical License through continuous training.

  • Interface with vendors for maintenance and other related activities

  • Maintain a high level of technical expertise on electrical systems.

  • Perform preventative maintenance (PM’s) on electrical equipment for the purpose of improving reliability and performance.

  • Assist with the installation and commissioning of capital projects.

  • Work with the team to generate cost savings ideas that reduce the total cost of ownership

Roles and Responsibilities – Instruments and Control Valves

  • Provides direct support in the preventative maintenance, installation, troubleshooting, and repair of instrumentation and control valves

  • Install, troubleshoot and maintain process analyzers, including GC’s.

  • Configure all types of instrumentation and control valves.

  • Interface with control system vendors for maintenance and other related activities.

  • Monitor instrument and control system reliability and performance.

  • Maintain a high level of technical expertise on process and instrumentation and control systems.

  • Assist with the installation and commissioning of capital projects

  • Work with the team to generate cost savings ideas that reduce the total cost of ownership

  • Troubleshooting & calibration of scales

Required Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or GED

  • 5 years in manufacturing environment

  • Experienced in the operation, troubleshooting, and maintenance of one or more of the following: electrical devices, electrical distribution systems, field instrumentation, control valves, process analyzers.

  • Ability to read and update electrical and instrument documents such as schematics, specifications, control diagrams, P&ID’s, and single line diagrams.

  • A good understanding of working within the rules of safety and environmental policies

  • Good oral and written communication skills.

  • Good computer skills.

  • Able to operate mobile equipment, including scissor lifts and fork trucks.

  • Able to work from heights

  • Willing and able to work overtime

  • Willing and able to work shift work

  • Willing and able to work extended hours during plant upsets and planned maintenance outages / grade changes.

  • Minimum of Delaware Electrician Journeyperson Papers to qualify for the I&E position or as an electrician.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience in a chemical manufacturing environment

  • Multi-craft experience

  • Delaware Electrician Master License

Physical Requirements and Working Conditions:

  • Mechanics are subject to extended periods of sitting, standing, walking, pushing, pulling, stooping, crouching, and climbing.

  • Mechanics must be able to wear and work in appropriate personal protective equipment, including respirators, supplied air, and up to Level A suits.

  • Work is performed in a manufacturing environment, including outdoor facilities, unconditioned areas, and confined spaces.
