What You'll Be Doing - Provide administrative support to the Site Director and his/her direct reports.

  • Ensure that all activities are performed in a safe manner. Support and adhere to the principles of the American Chemistry Council's Responsible Care®, and OSHA regulations by protecting the environment, health, safety and security of our employees, contractors, carriers, distributors, visitors, customers and neighbors.

  • Partners with site managers and supervisors to ease administrative burden through training, development of tools, checklists, etc.

  • Support site supervisor and managers on payroll questions. Coordinate training as needed.

  • Coordinate planning of site training and recognition events.

  • Act as site medical coordinator providing support to site nurse and EHS team.

  • Develop proficiency in HR, EHS, and Training systems. Create and distribute reports to supervisors and managers. Update organization charts and schedules as needed.

  • Support site managers and supervisors on IT requests, on boarding of new hires, and HR system requests.

  • Serve as site coordinator for office supplies.

  • Participate in Newport Safety Council and Site Activities Team.

Shine With Colors & Effects! Do You Have What It Takes?

Required

  • High School Diploma

  • 5 years of experience in an administrative role with increasing responsibility where discretion and the ability to handle confidential information was a daily function of the job.

  • Excellent computer skills; including Excel, Word, PowerPoint and databases. Basic SAP knowledge is a plus.

  • Excellent organizational skills, communication skills (oral & written) and effective time management skills.

  • Must have the ability to be detail oriented.

  • Good problem solving and analytical skills.

Bonus Points

  • Do you have a college degree? Great! We will help you put those skills to work.

  • Do you have previous experience processing payroll? That is a plus!

  • Previous HR experience is preferred.
