The Synthesis Operator is responsible for completing production activities of to ensure safe production through the execution of Toyota Production System (TPS) principles, tools, and techniques. The Synthesis Operator is responsible for troubleshooting, completing accurate production reporting, and assisting with on-the-job training for new employees in the assigned operating area.

High School Diploma/Equivalent Required
Six Sigma/Lean training/certification preferred
4 years of experience in production operations required
Experience in Batch Chemical Operations preferred
Experience working in a PSM regulated environment preferred
Experience using TPS tools in a manufacturing environment preferred
Demonstrated ability to understand and work with analytical and mechanical equipment, including troubleshooting such equipment.
Excellent interpersonal communication and organizational skills are required.
Ability to work independently at times using SOPs and work instructions.
Knowledge of or ability to learn Microsoft Office products
Knowledge of or ability to learn operating with DCS and PLC interfaces
Good understanding of 5S, visual management, KPIs, standard work and other TPS tools
Willingness and ability to work overtime beyond normally scheduled work hours
Willingness and ability to participate as a member of the site’s emergency response team
