What You'll Be Doing - The Production Team Leader supports the mica processing and mica coating production units to achieve key operational goals and targets while maintaining high standards for safety, quality, and environmental compliance.

Responsible for directing the daily activities and for the development of four (4) self-directed work teams consisting of 28 hourly employees. Developmental aspects include the facilitation and oversight of individual employee training, coaching, conflict resolution, problem solving, teamwork and shift staffing allocations.

We are seeking a safety conscious, highly motivated and team-oriented individual with a continuous improvement mindset to become part of a dynamic work environment.

  • Collaborate with Operations, Maintenance and Engineering to support site targets and initiatives while ensuring compliance with site policies, procedures and regulatory standards.

  • Conduct performance evaluations and assess training effectiveness for operator progressions as part of a high-performing cross-trained workforce.

  • Assist with the development and implementation of employee training, testing and qualifications as required to facilitate operator development and progression.

  • Support the Production and Logistics Managers with Production Planning, Scheduling and Shipping activities as required.

  • Promote a continuous improvement mindset for a self-managed workforce culture while fostering ownership and teamwork within and across each shift.

  • Perform various administrative tasks related to employee supervision and supporting site operations.

Shine With Colors & Effects! Do You Have What It Takes?


  • Technical degree in applicable field with three (3) years of experience; or a combination of a high school diploma or GED equivalent with a minimum of five (5) years of relevant manufacturing experience.

  • Clear and concise verbal and written communication skills.

  • Ability to assess training and development needs and evaluate training effectiveness.

  • Proficiency with MS Office applications.


  • Knowledge of manufacturing processing procedures and equipment utilized to manufacture and ship effects mica products.

  • A highly motivated self-driven individual with a continuous improvement mindset and ability to work without supervision with cross-functional self-managed teams.

  • Demonstrated experience with coaching and in-the-field training of employees.

  • Previous experience in a supervisory role.
