Our team is searching for a Mechanical / Electrical Engineer to work at the Greenville, OH site where we focus on producing high quality automotive coatings for the vehicles of today and tomorrow.

As a member of the engineering team at Greenville you will performdaily responsibilities that include selection and sizing of pumps and piping, specification of instrumentation, support for other fixed and rotating equipment, and project management. You will participate in life-cycle strategy/planning efforts for site utilities and also for training and development of plant personnel. You will also work closely with Operations to troubleshoot operational issues and ensure the performance and reliability of equipment to ensure that all shifts are able to execute the operating plan daily, as intended.

As a Specialist Engineering, You Create Chemistry By...

  • Leveraging your strong educational background and at least 3+ years relevant work experience in a Mechanical Engineering capacity, you will support the execution of mid and large capital projects and continuous improvement efforts.

  • Utilizing your previous project management experience you will lead the execution of lump sum projects for the site from concept through startup.

  • Demonstrating your expertise in mechanical engineering you will assist maintenance with troubleshooting of existing equipment, and specification of new equipment.

  • Looking for ways to enhance the sustainability of the plant operations as well as opportunities to reduce production costs.

  • Ensuring all plant personnel are fully compliant with OSHA and BASF plant-specific safety procedures.

  • Demonstrating your expertise in mechanical engineering, you will evaluate existing HVAC systems and equipment, design specifications and operational environments, and implement new HVAC equipment.

If you...

  • Have prior experience in a PSM regulated industry preferred

  • Posses knowledge of basic instrumentation, controls, and automation.

  • Posses knowledge of pumps, piping, valves, heat exchangers, and API and ASME tanks.

  • Are able and willing to respond to any after hour event impacting production or EHS.

  • Hold a Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering (Chemical, Mechanical, Electrical or a related field), or equivalent experience

  • Have prior experience in root cause analysis and Lean methodologies.

  • Have strong interpersonal skills and excellent written and verbal communication.

  • Posses an unwavering commitment to workplace safety.
