BASF Corporation is looking for qualified candidates in South Eastern Washington and North East Oregon. This territory will cover a wide range of crops including wheat, alfalfa, potatoes and other vegetable crops. The Sales Representative will be responsible for managing accounts in the territory and meeting BASF specified targets by creating value for the existing customer base through products, services, and/or solutions from BASF and our partners.

You will need to reside or be willing to relocate to South Eastern Washington and North East Oregon area.

As a Sr Agriculture Sales Rep, You Create Chemistry By...

• Being responsible for implementing the business strategy involves overseeing the execution of plans and initiatives that align with the overall goals of the organization. This requires a deep understanding of the company's vision and mission, as well as the ability to communicate effectively with stakeholders at all levels.

• Creating value-based relationships with distributors, retailers, and other influencers is key to building a strong network of partners who can help drive growth and profitability. This involves identifying the needs and expectations of these stakeholders and developing strategies to exceed them. It also requires creating a Territory Plan that is aligned with district objectives, taking into account factors such as market conditions, customer behavior, and competitive dynamics.

• Accounting a Plan with a segmented customer base involves analyzing customer data and developing a plan that targets specific segments with tailored messaging and solutions. This requires a deep understanding of customer needs and preferences, as well as the ability to analyze data and draw insights that can inform strategic decisions.

• Understanding and creating solutions based on customer needs is critical to providing value to their businesses. This involves listening to their feedback, identifying pain points, and developing solutions that address their specific challenges. It also requires building a profiled database of customer interactions and potential growth opportunities, which can be used to inform future marketing and sales initiatives.

• Determining opportunities for growth in new and existing markets involves analyzing market trends, customer behavior, and competitive dynamics to identify areas where BASF can differentiate itself and capture market share. This requires a deep understanding of why customers use BASF brands and the ability to identify other needs that the company can meet. It also involves working with retailers and distributors to find areas for joint success, and forecasting, implementing, and administering marketing initiatives that drive growth.

• Educating and creating excitement for new brand launches involves developing marketing and communications strategies that generate awareness and interest among customers and other stakeholders. This requires creativity and innovation, as well as the ability to identify and capitalize on emerging trends and opportunities.

• Exhibiting proficiency in value selling involves understanding the unique needs and preferences of customers and tailoring solutions that provide maximum value to their businesses. This requires a deep understanding of BASF's products and services, as well as the ability to anticipate change and refine skills to ensure success in a constantly evolving market. Managing a territory with an entrepreneurial focus and a measurement of profitability involves taking a strategic approach to sales and marketing, and constantly seeking new opportunities to grow the business.

If you...

• Have a Bachelor’s Degree in business, Science (such as Agronomy, Chemistry, Biology) or related field.

• Have minimum 5 years field sales, marketing, and/or account manager experience in the Agriculture industry,

• Have experience with Customer Relationship Management.

• Posses strong Leadership and Strategic Thinking skills.

• Have excellent communication skills - written and verbal.

• Can demonstrate of the ability to influence and impact.

• Other skills: strong presentation , business acumen, innovation/creativity, teamwork, time management

Pay Transparency

BASF is committed to pay transparency practices. The competitive Pay Range for this role is $108,800 - $149,600. Actual pay will be determined based on education, certifications, experience, and other job-related factors permitted by law.
