Training Coordinator (1902173) – Palmyra, MO

Where the Chemistry Happens

We are seeking a resourceful and determined self-starter capable of completing goals based on a long-term vision of excellence. The Training Coordinator’s internal customer will be the Operations Departments to which she or he is assigned. The overall goal is the improvement of training compliance and quality across the Site. The Training Coordinator will work in collaboration with Operations to determine the customer’s problems (safety, quality, downtime, etc.) and develop a prioritized training plan designed to solve those problems.

Formula for Success

The Training Coordinator will have the following duties:

• Develop, maintain, and continuously improve content and related documentation (training modules, visual aids, etc.) used in training Chemical Operators and other employees

• Create Training timelines, track status, and certify competency of Trainees in assigned areas

• Collaborate with internal customers to prioritize employee training

• Provide training to Trainees in a one-on-one or group face-to-face setting

• Complete job audits to confirm training effectiveness

• Look for opportunities to standardize Best Practices via the training process

• Review Site Learning Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) to determine employee training needs

• Provide oversight to Training Pool Operators (new employees)

The successful candidate for this position should have the following skills and experience:

• Leadership and training skills and experience

• Strong awareness of and focus on safety

• Excellent communication skills, both verbally and electronically

• Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail

• Strong computer skills, including Microsoft Word, Powerpoint, and Excel

• 5 years industrial or manufacturing work experience, preferably in chemical manufacturing

A successful candidate for this position would preferably have the following skills and experience:

• Experience in facilitating adult learning

• Experience using adult learning concepts

• Experience with Training Within Industry (TWI)

• Technical training or college degree in a field of study relating to chemical manufacturing

• Strong personal commitment to lifelong learning and continuous improvement
