Account Representative (1902526)

Where the Chemistry Happens

The coating business unit is seeking a strong Account Representative. The candidate will be responsible for:

  • Identifying and converting new bodyshop business to BASF

  • Maintaining current customers and ensure account retention

  • Increasing market share and growing sales by developing new business and conversion to bodyshopmall.com.

  • Increasing bodyshop productivity and profitability

  • Conducting contract negotiation

  • Coordinating the transition of new customers to the Technical Service Group.

The candidate also provides prospects and customers with sufficient knowledge of BASF products and added value services and provides the National Sales Manager with daily reports on customer and competitor activity and market trends.

Formula for Success:

The successful candidate will have a minimum of 3-5 years’ experience in related automotive industry. Minimum College or University education in Business Administration or Marketing/Sales. The successful candidate must have excellent communication skills with the ability to make effective presentations to different levels of customers on BASF products and valued added programs and services.

Additionally, you will possess the following:

  • Knowledge of refinish aftermarket paint products

  • Solid computer skills (MSOffice, Word, excel, Powerpoint) are required.

  • Outstanding customer service skills

  • Strong problem solving skills

  • Bilingual (French and English)
