Where the Chemistry Happens:
Create and / or optimize processes under certain restrictions that ensure their economic, environmental and social sustainability. With a focus on producing faster, cheaper and simpler, always considering safety and ergonomics.
Formula for Success:
Assist in managing product Bill of Material and Mixing Instructions in the PLC and SAP
Manages investment projects in time, cost control and quality using internal and external resources
Supports introduction of any new production to Querétaro
Apply knowledge of Safety, Health and Environmental applications in all phases of the work
Studies products and production methods to improve safety, quality and productivity to promote continuous improvement
Assures the application of company policies regarding SHE standards, Near misses, 5-S, Quality systems
Meet with SHE to evaluate and mitigate any SHE related issues
Source the items, contractors and services needed for completion of the project
Track, manage and report project spend keeping within budget
Communicate progress, milestones and issues that occur with stakeholders and interested parties
Work with contractors and service providers to install and meet project objectives
Responsible for all aspects of third-party titration chemicals and supplies
Depending on project may require some bending, squatting etc.
Ingredients for Success:
Bachelor’s degree in Chemistry or Chemical Engineering
5 - 7 years of experience in Process Engineering related positions
Process knowledge and ability to learn mechanical (equipment and piping systems,) and electrical (including automation,) applications
Experience working with SAP modules
Ability to generate and apply knowledge of technical drawings, (plans, schemes, layouts, process flow diagrams and P&IDs)
Work to improve and develop Quality Management systems implemented on site; ISO 9001, TS 16949, ISO 14001
Ability to work effectively in a team environment
Develop proficiency in the various product families and their chemistries
Ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment
MS office skills – Powerpoint, Excel, Visio, AutoCad
Project Management Experience
Familiar with working with vendors and negotiating costs
Good knowledge of SHE requirements for contractors
Excellent interpersonal relationship skills
Excellent verbal communication skills
Excellent written (including e-mail) skills
