Where the Chemistry Happens…

We are seeking a motivated, enthusiastic Contract and Performance Manager to join our Agricultural Products (AP) Division, based in Research Triangle Park, NC.

Contracts and Performance Manager (1705265) – RTP, NC

As a Contract and Performance Manager, you will act as the focal point for the planning of placement of external work required for the registration of agrochemicals by Global Product Safety and Registration (APD) units globally.

  • Being responsible for the management of external contracting, development of the performance management system, and leading of regulatory intelligence initiatives, you will:

  • Represent the procurement function in the planning process and ensure up to date and globally harmonized planning for external work.

  • Manage negotiations, market surveys, and suppliers, as well as, ensure sufficient external resources and supplier development in cooperation with the global team.

  • Serve, together with the Contract Compliance Specialist, as the focal point for the placement of external work required for the registration of agrochemicals by the Global Product Safety and Registration (APD) units at RTP.

  • Further develop APD’s performance management system in RTP. This includes analysis of AP’s and competitor’s product portfolio, as well as analyzing APD’s performance in comparison to external service providers and competitors.

  • Lead regulatory intelligence initiatives in APN to monitor regulatory trends and competitor registration activities.

Ingredients for Success: What We Look For in You…

  • PhD 1 year of life science industry experience –OR- MS 3 years of life science industry experience –OR- BS 5 years of life science industry experience. Degree in agriculture, chemistry, life science, business or related field.

  • Prior experience working with personnel from the different functional disciplines and at various levels within the organization.

  • Ability to work with external suppliers of research services.

  • Excellent strategic thinking, negotiation, leadership, and interpersonal skills as well as excellent written and oral communication skills.

  • Detail oriented with strong organizational skills.

  • Project Management experience.

  • Experience working with external suppliers of research services

  • Process optimization and change management experience.

  • Agricultural chemical related GLP laboratory and/or GLP field experience.

  • Experience in the registration of ag chemical products.

  • Experience working in a global team environment.
