District Sales Manager (2001222) – California/Arizona Territory (Remote)

Sales at BASF revolves around the customer experience and driving profitable growth. The foundation for this is a strong team that brings specific application, industry and market knowledge to understand the diverse markets where we build trusting and satisfying customer relationships.
We are seeking a professional like you to act as the face to BASF field staff, the marketplace, and to key industry stakeholders and trade organizations. In this role, you will have responsibility for leading the retail- and grower-focused resources within your geography, including managing both direct reports and influencing indirect reports. You will also be responsible for the defined financial performance in your assigned district.
You will be responsible for leading and coaching a Team of seven sales representatives in the West Region. The district will require at least fifty percent overnight travel for face time with the sales team and customers. You will be required to live within the state of California and close to Fresno, CA.
Formula for Success
Leveraging your Bachelors Degree and your 10 years experience in sales and/or marketing, you will be accountable for managing all sales activities and achievement of customer engagement targets within your assigned geography.
Leading a team of Sales Representatives, you will assign targets to the team and drive them to execute sales plans for their local area(s) while serving as an advocate for BASF and the agriculture industry.
As a role model, you will establish and cultivate a culture of high performance that seeks continuous improvement while maintaining a strong and positive ethical environment.
Successfully engaging across and outside the organization, you will act as a spokesperson and interact with BASF employees, customers, and the marketplace.
