We are seeking a Facility Project Manager to join our Agricultural Products Division (APN).

Facility Project Manager – RTP, NC

As the Facility Project Manager, you will be responsible for supporting small capital and expense projects. You will also work alongside the site maintenance technicians to provide technical guidance.

Formula for Success: You Will…

  • Maintain logs, manuals, records and other related documentation

  • Collaborate to develop solutions to problem conditions

  • Oversee the commissioning of new equipment; i.e.: installation, set-up, and testing, fixtures and machinery

  • Deliver courteous and effective customer service to the occupants of the buildings serviced

  • Manage contractors according to all corporate guidelines ensuring safety quality and cost effectiveness of work

  • Oversee construction and installation projects, ensuring reliability and quality standards

  • Collaborate cross-functionally with Corporate Engineering, EHS, Operations and Procurement

  • Develop and execute short to long term project strategies that support site development and maintenance plans

  • Drive the selection and approval of applicable third-party vendors

  • Operate projects within a pre-established Capital Budget

  • Drive process optimization and continuous improvement efforts with respect to building / equipment design and maintenance

  • Liaise with other BASF sites to leverage key learnings and best practices, as well as technical and process benchmarks

Ingredients for Success: What We Look For in You…

  • Bachelor’s Degree with 5 years of experience – OR – AA/HS/GED with 10 years of experience

  • 5 years of experience as a Project Manager, managing multiple construction contractors and engineers to safely and efficiently conduct work at the facilities

  • Demonstrated experience overseeing maintenance staff

  • Experience operating and overseeing HVAC and building management systems, including programming and troubleshooting

  • Demonstrated safety leadership and training

  • Willing and able to work outside of normal office hours and to respond to emergency situations in a timely manner, as necessary

  • Thorough understanding of Lock Out Tag Out, Confined Space, Elevated Work, Line Breaking, and Safe Work procedures and permitting

  • Collaborates well in a team environment

  • High integrity and a desire to do things right the first time

We Also Look For…

  • Six-Sigma Green Belt certification

  • Knowledge of building codes, electrical codes, and fire codes

  • Experience with computerized maintenance management systems, such as software by companies such as Dude Solutions and Schneider Electric
