Where the Chemistry Happens…
The Global R&D Project Management Office (PMO) is seeking a highly motivated, self-directed, and enthusiastic Global Portfolio Planner to work in our RTP, NC site.
Formula for Success: You will…
As a member of the Global R&D Project Management Office (PMO), you will have two main tasks.
The first main task is to guide, together with relevant stakeholders in marketing, technical development, formulation, regulatory and controlling, the R&D planning processes of global Professional & Specialty Solutions (P&SS), APN and Herbicide Tolerant Crops projects and acting as the key contact between them and the Global Marketing (APM) with respect to portfolio planning. You will prepare and follow up on decisions and review meetings by analysis of business cases and respective influencing factors, e.g. managing the service providers resources. You will work closely with several Project Managers at any one time and will specifically influence and challenge the project teams to ensure that project decision data are of the required quality, accuracy and timeliness for project decision processes. You will also provide reports and tools to enhance transparency for business decisions on a sustainable basis.
The second main task is to contribute as a Core Team Member of Development Project(s) to the success of assigned project(s) by taking over the Planning and Controlling role. You will support, but also challenge the Project Leader and Project Team to optimize project planning, track project milestones, prioritize activities, stay in budget and timeline, and to update regularly project parameters. You will also ensure sound and reliable data basis for management decision and knowledge transfer across project teams by leveraging experiences from debriefings and lessons learned.
Additional tasks: Be the first contact for training on planning tools for units located in RTP (e.g. APD). Contribute by taking the lead or being a core team member for specific Global R&D Project Management Office activities as defined.

Ingredients for Success: What We Look For in You…
PhD with 2 years’ experience in science or business administration OR MS with 4 years’ experience in science or business administration OR BS with 6 years’ experience in science or business administration.
Minimum of 3 years scientific or agriculture/chemical related work experience, working in an R&D based company or organization
Project planning, management, and / or controlling experience
IT skills [Advanced MS Office]
