Label Specialist (1902993) – RTP, NC

Where the Chemistry Happens…

The Label Specialist supports the provision of BASF Crop Protection product labels (domestic and export) that meet all applicable safety, legal, and regulatory requirements. The Label Specialist ensures that proper labeling is available to meet production schedules and that labeling artworks are created to meet packaging specifications; print vendor requirements; and are as cost efficient as possible

Formula for Success

  • BA or BS in Graphic Arts or Graphic Design; candidates with BA or BS in other disciplines who have relevant Label experience will be considered.

  • 3 years’ experience in print graphics preferred.

  • Proficient in key applications necessary to carry out required tasks, eg. Quark XPress, Adobe Software (Illustrator, Acrobat Professional, InDesign, Photoshop).

  • Basic computer skills: Microsoft Office applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)

  • Ability to participate in project teams on all phases of label development, from initial concept design through printing

  • Understanding of various printing processes and requirements.

  • Strong communication skills (written & verbal).

  • Ability to ensure attention to details while balancing multiple tasks

  • Bilinqual is a plus, English/Portuguese and/or English/Spanish

  • Coordinate artwork layout, review, and approvals for business to customer (B2C) and business to business (B2B) labels for domestic and export products.

  • Maintain accurate records and database entries for artwork versions and changes.

  • Coordinate the prioritization of items for domestic and export label workload schedules

  • Communicate current artwork versions to Manufacturing Supervisors, Production Facilities, and Print Vendors.

  • Effectively identify labeling solutions to meet the needs of stakeholders / customers.

  • Effectively work with Regulatory on market driven and/or EPA regulatory driven label changes occurring outside of predefined change schedules.
