Where the chemistry happens…

As a Sr. Global Regulatory Manager you will be responsible for maintaining the license to operate of BASF active ingredients and products worldwide. This involves making informed regulatory decisions for the AI (active ingredient) by considering sustainable development and product stewardship principles. It is crucial for you to have a strong understanding of Global Regulatory Affairs issues, including any changes in guidelines, interpretations, or procedures within key countries such as the US EPA, EU, Japan, and Brazil, as these may impact current or future product registrations. Additionally, you will provide global regulatory support for assigned crop protection active ingredients.

This position offers a hybrid working arrangement - 3 days onsite in the office and 2 working remotely from a home office each week. We are also open to a fully remote (within the US) option, as well, for a well-qualified candidate - Eastern Time Zone preferred.

As a Sr. Global Reg. Affairs Manager, You Create Chemistry By...

  • Developing and implement global regulatory strategies that support agreed upon business goals, taking into consideration potential short and long-term issues and trends.

  • Leading cross-functional teams including: Product Chemistry, Ecotoxicology, Environmental Fate, Consumer Safety, Biology, Toxicology and Stewardship; you will develop regulatory data to support development projects and active ingredient / product defense.

  • Managing and communicate project costs and timelines.

  • Successfully engaging outside of the organization, you will interact and negotiate with representatives from key regulatory authorities to achieve regulatory objectives.

  • Keeping abreast of the latest global regulatory updates, you will inform and advise business teams on regulatory issues that impact project targets.

  • Representing BASF in relevant international industry associations and task forces.

If you...

  • Have education in an agricultural field (or related scientific discipline) AND your regulatory affairs experience in the pesticide industry - preference in biopesticides, but will consider conventional crop protection as well:

  • BS degree with 10+ years of hands-on, relevant experience OR

  • MS degree with 7+ years of hands-on, relevant experience OR

  • PhD with 5+ years of hands-on, relevant experience.

  • Have effective communication skills

  • Ability to travel up to 15% - domestically and internationally

Pay Transparency

BASF is committed to pay transparency practices. The competitive Pay Range for this role is $128,000 - $176,000. Actual pay will be determined based on education, certifications, experience, and other job-related factors permitted by law.
