Strategic Account Manager (Pinehurst Project Leader- NC ) – Remote Position 1801398
The Strategic Account Manager is responsible for driving the success of our Pinehurst education program for channel partners and end users in the Turf & Ornamental business segment. In addition to generating sales and greater awareness of BASF products, the successful candidate will develop relationships, encourage feedback, and foster interaction with customer attendees.
Formula for Success: You Will…
Provide exceptional training and customer experience to over 400 distributor sales reps and end users in a field and classroom setting
Develop creative ideas and programs that utilize the Pinehurst platform to generate sales
Assume the responsibility of assisting with meeting and travel logistics between BASF Sales Representatives and the resort staff at Pinehurst
Track results of customer attending our training programs
Manage Pinehurst education expenses to maximize results while staying with the budget
Develop a working relationship with the Pinehurst Golf Maintenance staff to manage product research and demonstrations in the field
Communicate research observations and market intelligence to the BASF Market Development, Marketing and Sales Teams
Build sound business relationships through service, innovation, recommendations and product opportunities including managing select national accounts for growth
This position will report directly to a Strategic Accounts Manager.
Where you'll work…
You'll manage training program current at Pinehurst, NC and help with product development and new product launches. You will also reside within commutable distance of Pinehurst and an airport, and will be traveling up to 50% of the time. Our opportunities can take you all over the world...

Ingredients for Success: What We Look For in You…
Bachelor or higher level degree
6 years of experience within Turf & Ornamentals market
At least 5 years of experience within sales, marketing or as a golf course superintendent
Demonstrated oral and written communication skills with and ability to influence others
Highly proficient with the MS Office Suite
Willing and able to travel or be on site at Pinehurst at least 50% of the time
Willing and able to reside within a commuting distance from Pinehurst

Related sales experience selling within the Golf Course Industry
Working knowledge of calibration and application of turf and ornamental products
Experience with strategy development and new product launches
