Trait Development Associate - (2202766)

  

Contract Duration: 4 - 6 months (Summer) 

Location: Saskatoon  

Wage: $21.00 hour to $28.00 hour.

Posting Closes: Friday, October 28th 2022.

*Responsibilities: *

As a Trait Development Associate, you will join our development team where you will be involved in: 

  • the advancement of new traits to be developed in support of local and global programs.

  • Field activities relating to new trait development from seeding to harvest including: 

  • Seed set up

  • Land preparation

  • Seeding

  • Pest control

  • Pollination management

  • Plot maintenance

  • Harvesting

  • Supervision of casual employees (as required)

  • Ensuring standard operating procedures

*Qualifications: *

  • Strong agronomic competence attained through pursuing or having obtained your degree in Agriculture or another college along with experience in the Agriculture Industry 

  • Demonstrate problem solving skills 

  • Ability to be flexible and modify plans as situations arise minimizing impact on results 

  • Interest in canola development 

  • Ability to deliver results in pursuit of both individual and team goals will be vital to your success in this role
