What you can expect
Our Quality, Safety, Environment (EHS) unit represents the interests of BASF Schwarzheide GmbH in the area of EHS within the BASF Group and in the wider society and supports the units at this site in all EHS matters.
In the position of Consultant, you will prepare and revise site-wide rules for the implementation of the internal specifications and legal regulations for the areas of the German Hazardous Materials Ordinance (Gefahrstoffverordnung), the REACH Regulation, trade control and the German Chemical Prohibition Ordinance (Chemikalienverbotsverordnung).
Your duties will also include changes in rules and advising users.
Furthermore, you will organize both the CWC inspections and the recording within the system of training sessions, company continuing education and instruction sessions. In the process, you will be responsible for preparing the necessary training materials and will hold training sessions.
You will prepare and revise concepts and systems regarding the use, classification and labeling of hazardous materials in accordance with the German Hazardous Materials Ordinance and will integrate these into the operational documentation.
Alongside serving and supporting, optimizing and further developing the central site hazardous materials database, you will represent the site’s interests in internal and external specialized bodies.
What we expect
You have a master’s degree in the field of natural sciences, technology or engineering and have several years of professional experience.
In the position of Consaltant, you have specialized knowledge and skills in the areas of trade control law, the German Hazardous Materials Ordinance, the REACH Regulation and the German Chemical Prohibition Ordinance.
