We are looking for a Sales Specialist - Key Account Manager to join our Agricultural Solutions team. This is a remote, field-based role located in North Dakota, South Dakota, or Minnesota, US. .

As a Sales Specialist - Key Account Manager, your primary responsibility will be to effectively manage a significant number of accounts across the states of North Dakota, South Dakota, and Minnesota. In addition, you will provide comprehensive support to various accounts. Your key objective will be to meet BASF's specified targets by creating value for the existing customer base and actively prospecting for new opportunities. Reporting directly to the Manager of Key Accounts Team, you will play a pivotal role in driving sales growth and fostering strong customer relationships.

As a Sales Specialist - Key Account Manager, you create chemistry by...

• Managing business relationships with assigned seed company accounts, which may include Corporate and/or Regional Business relationships.

• Relying on your Account Management experience and demonstrated corn germplasm knowledge, you will develop and communicate product information to accounts allowing for effective business solutions to be developed representing mutually successful and profitable results.

• Thinking strategically and with high self-motivation, building strong relationships with accounts.

• Having strong business acumen and demonstrating understanding of the agricultural markets.

• Having opportunities to take on special projects related to candidate skills and experience.

• Successfully engaging within the business unit, participating in building product testing plans including field days, observation plots and research yield trials across North America.

• Focusing on identifying and characterizing high performing corn inbreds and hybrids for commercial release.

If you...

  • Have a B.S. degree in a crop genetics or agronomy-related field (desirable).

  • Have at least 10 years of experience in such a field (required).

  • Possess prior experience in corn product management or corn hybrid evaluation.

  • Have previous experience with plot data analysis software, hybrid advancement presentations, sales presentations, and interacting with sales personnel and growers.

  • Excel in verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively on a wide range of topics (mandatory).

  • Demonstrate self-motivation and the ability to work independently.

  • Are willing and able to travel up to 35% of the time.
