Credit Manager – Shakopee, MN
Where the Chemistry Happens
This position will manage all aspects of the credit function supporting Construction Systems, including the establishment of credit practice and policy, determining appropriate risk position for customers and performing necessary collection actions. The role will communicate with and work alongside the sales team and senior leadership to balance and align credit position with business priorities. This role requires a leader that is proactive, detail-oriented, able to communicate well in both verbal and non-verbal methods and provide guidance to complex problems and situations.
Formula for Success
Define, document and implement credit policy and process that provides appropriate risk mitigation positions while being in balance with business objectives and priorities.
Provide oversight and management of Construction Systems credit function and all related activities, including account set up/credit lines through collection activity.
Directly manage all direct credit employees for Construction Systems.
Responsible for direct credit management of Strategic and Key Accounts, as agreed and aligned with business leadership.
Close and frequent internal communication with key individuals related to account’s trends, status and activity.
Establish relationships with customers outside of day to day topics.
Provide and represent credit KPIs with associated recommendations to address gaps against predetermined targets.
Meet frequently with business leadership in order to establish and maintain strong working relationships between the credit function and the commercial business.
Experience developing process and policy for a credit department.
Experience successfully working cross-functionally.
Managed customer relationships to decrease credit liabilities.
Strong leadership, management, communication and collaboration skills.
Ability to influence and engage, with purpose, individuals without direct authority.
