Strategic Channel Manager – Over the Counter (1902855) – Shakopee, MN

Where the Chemistry Happens

The purpose of the Strategic Channel Manager is to provide leadership and strategic guidance for the Over the Counter channels within the commercial construction industry. This is a highly dynamic role with a core objective to drive growth through increase of sales by continually developing a branding strategy with a mixture of product and service deliverables . Further on, the role provides direction and recommendations to the Leadership Team, Sales, Market Sector, and Product management to ensure that overall marketing effectiveness remains competitive. The role reports to the Director Marketing and Product Management in Construction Systems.

Formula for Success

  • More than 5 years of B2B experience of marketing building products into the Over the Counter channel

  • Extensive knowledge regarding the value chain for building products

  • Developing program initiatives that drive end-consumer pull through demand

  • Developing and executing strategies

  • Ability to influence with indirect authority

  • Business performance - analyzing, integrating, and using business/financial data to accurately diagnose business realities, identify key issues, and develop strategies and plans for the channel.

  • Annual go-to market strategy – accountable for the development, execution, and monitoring of the channel strategy.

  • Implementation and management of go-to market tactics, growth initiatives, promotions, and programs – collaboration between Sales, Sector, and Product management.

  • Alignment and roll-out of tactics with field sales staff – lead, direct, and support internal and external sales force for the channel.

  • Customer insight and competitive market intelligence – provide competitor intelligence and customer needs insight to relevant stakeholders of the Business.

  • Innovation and solutions approach within channel – identify, size and rank opportunities and implement new business development opportunities.

  • Establish pricing strategies and align the same with Sales, Market Sector, and Product management.
