=Objectives of the position=

According to the agreed strategies, policies and practices, provide inputs and participate in the marketing/ market development and planning, technical development of products and services to support the implementation of sales strategies and polices in the assigned areas/ districts, conclusion of sales contracts at defined sales goals.

=Main Areas of Responsibilities and Key Activities=

  • Visit customers to collect and analyze information of customer expectation and pain points on product performance

  • Provide technical support to customers as trouble shooters and technical consultant for existing and newly developing business with Transportation industry in China

  • Support internal colleagues, customers and distributors with technical expertise on product / application

  • Provide technical inputs recommendation and competitor’s information to strategy development and implementation based on analysis of product performance in comparison to competitive products and reports that define and rank performance requirements for technical success

  • Co-operate with other team members to work efficiently and make success.

  • Under general supervision of line manager, perform routine product development tasks mostly using standard techniques, procedures and equipment; Carry out lab experiments independently. Manage and arrange responsible lab work smoothly and lab area in order

  • Writes comprehensive reports and evaluations on obtained from experimentation, orally present responsible projects

  • Develop processes and procedures in technical aspects to ensure successful introduction of the defined products

  • Participate as part of a product launch team to ensure smooth introduction of the product in customer serving processes

  • Share with the sales and marketing team via reporting/ workshops the experience gained in technical service laboratories/ manufacturing processes in proper application/ formulation techniques

  • Participate in or lead plant pilot scheme to gain actual production experience of using process conditions to influence product end-use performance and share the experience with the team

  • Ensure that BASF compliance and local EHS regulations are observed within the company.

=Job Requirements=

  • Possess at least a Bachelor’s degree in Polymer Science, Chemical engineering, or chemical related major or above.

  • Has at least 2 years working experience in adhesive for transportation industry.

  • Has the ability to communicate effectively in detailed and precise technical requirement, procedures, and results in written and oral format .

  • Technical & Professional Knowledge: experience of PU application in Automotive industry is preferred.

  • Workable English in listening, writing and speaking.
