Where the Chemistry Happens…
The Business Process Optimization Engineer position is responsible for the identification, development, implementation, maintenance, and improvement of Robotic Process Automation (RPA). In addition to RPA responsibilities the Business Process Optimization Engineer will also support Quality & Environmental management systems to assure that the product manufactured and services provided meet customer requirements, and is compliant with ISO/IATF16949 and ISO14001 standards.
Business Process Optimization Engineer (1801647) – Southfield, MI
Formula for Success: You Will…
· Develop, implement, maintain, and improve Process Automation, including:
o designing automated solutions
o assisting in the collection and documentation of solution design requirements
o building and testing automation processes including integration and unit testing
o analyzing and resolving automation software issues
o participating in peer review of solution designs
o supporting business process owners during user acceptance testing
o identifying and communicating risks associated with process automation
o manage the deployment of robotic code into production environment
o maintain daily administration of automation software production environment
o manage and investigate level 1 RPA exceptions
o resolve level 1 RPA exceptions
o support operational and performance metrics reporting
· Quality and Environmental Systems Management
o Establish quality and environmental standards and guidelines for business processes, and ensure compliance to all customer quality and environmental standard requirements.
o Establish the appropriate procedures, systems, and training that will continuously improve quality and delivery.
o Lead a proactive approach to the development of robust systems and processes that emphasize prevention and continuous improvement.
o Report on the performance of the quality system as a basis for improvement of the quality system, and ensure the promotion of awareness of customer requirements throughout the organization.
o Ensure process and procedures needed for the quality and environmental system are established, implemented, and maintained,
o Ensure internal/external Quality and Environmental audits are successfully conducted annually.

Ingredients for Success: What We Look for in You…
Bachelor’s degree in a computer science or technical discipline.
Process Automation Experience/Computer Programming Experience
At least 3 years of industry and development experience
Experience in developing and testing software
Programming experience with an RPA software
A minimum of 3 years of providing operational or production level support
Knowledge of the enterprise’s business operations and systems
Experience running and monitoring automation software
Quality and Environmental Management System Experience
Quality, manufacturing, or business experience in a manufacturing environment preferred
Internal/Lead auditor experience
Experience managing Quality/Environmental Management Systems (e.g., ISO9001, IATF16949, ISO14001)
Experience with quality tools (e.g., APQP, MSA, SPC, FMEA, Control Plans, PPAP, Problem Solving)
Strong problem-solving skills, root cause analysis, and corrective action expertise
Successful track record of improving business performance by utilizing systems.
Strong interpersonal skills to effectively communicate with technical personnel, site support groups, external certification bodies, and customer representatives.
Ability to lead and influence teams to ensure documentation, implementation, compliance, effectiveness, and analysis of key processes.
Critical thinking skills, able to make logical and well thought out decisions using data, eliminating bias, and questioning assumptions.
Ability to manage numerous complex problems simultaneously and deal with changing priorities.
Strong computer systems knowledge (e.g., SAP, Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook)
