What You'll Be Doing - The Controller is responsible for the accounting operations of the legal entity, including the financial reporting, maintenance of a system of accounting records, and a comprehensive set of appropriate accounting controls. The Controller aims to mitigate risk for the company and ensures accuracy of reported financial statements in accordance with US GAAP. The position is responsible for all monthly and annual closing duties, any state and US reporting requirements, and tax compliance. Accounting for Fixed Assets, Inventory and Accounts Receivable are all within the Controller's area of responsibility.
Timely and accurate closing of the books, monthly and annually.
Oversight of Fixed Asset, Inventory, and A/R accounting; ensuring accuracy and timeliness.
Timely and accurate reporting, both internal and external.
Regular coordination with parent company Controlling and support teams.
Coordination with and support of other areas within Legal Entity Controlling group, including Site Controlling and Financial Analysis – includes sharing of resources when necessary.
Development of staff to promote growth within Colors & Effects.
Interaction with other areas of Colors & Effects to support resolution of problems, including Sales, Supply Chain, and Business Steering.

Shine With Colors & Effects! Do You Have What It Takes?
Bachelor’s Degree or Business-related degree with relevant accompanying experience.
10 years as Senior Accountant / Controller.
Financial management experience required.
Must be proficient and experienced working in modern ERP system in a large global company; SAP preferred.
Must have full knowledge of US GAAP requirements.
Must have experience maintaining system of accounting controls and generating both internal and external financial statements; experience with audits.
Must have five years of senior management experience in an Accounting Department; as a Controller preferably.
Must be comfortable with the Shared Service concept for transactional work; some work will be done in other areas not under the direct control of the Controller.
Must be comfortable working with large datasets and the amount of transactions commensurate with a $350M entity.
Do you have a Bachelor's Degree in Accounting? Great!
Financial management experience in a global company is a plus.
Accounting experience in manufacturing is a plus.
