Where the Chemistry Happens
We are seeking a professional like you to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for our Documentum platform in North America and will be part of our global Enterprise Content Management team at Global Digital Services.
As a Documentum Senior Specialist Digitalization, you will be working in a 2-4-person squad in the Documentum DevOps team supporting our Documentum platform installed in North America. Within this squad, work is done in a DevOps manner where agile practices like Scrum/Kanban and Continuous Integration & Delivery practices are lived.
Together with the team, you will be building and maintaining the Documentum platform and solutions for our internal business partners and customers. You will be working in close cooperation with stakeholders and actively participating in the extension of the Documentum platform's capabilities by deploying and configuring new features, components, and releases in a controlled way.
The DevOps team is responsible for the development, configuration, delivery, operation, and maintenance of Documentum applications, associated components, interfaces, and services. Collectively, the DevOps team has full responsibility for the Development, Quality Assurance, and Operations of their global Documentum platforms.
All Documentum squads operate per agile development process like Scrum/Kanban and strongly believes in the DevOps approach to delivering successful Documentum solutions. Our focus is on high-quality, mission-critical solutions delivered in time using iterative development with regular milestone demos to the business.
This is an excellent opportunity for you to demonstrate your experience working with a dynamic, highly collaborative team. Experience working in teams with a global footprint and in combination with external service providers/experts will be looked upon favorably.
Documentum software coding and configuration experience based on Documentum 16.7 or higher, as well as knowledge regarding configuration and customizing of WebTop and D2 Classic & SmartView frontends are a prerequisite.
Knowledge of the BASF Documentum business partners in North America (key stakeholders, process know-how, and culture) will be advantageous as well.
Formula for Success
Leveraging your bachelors degree or higher education (preferably in Computer Science or Information Technology) and in-depth experience in the IT with a focus on the full software development life cycle including business analysis, requirements engineering, design, development, testing, implementation, ongoing operation, operational vendor management and support, you will drive Documentum solutions in collaboration with our internal business partners.
Your experience interacting directly with product owners and stakeholders to document decisions, issues, functional and non-functional requirements, user stories, and impact analysis will be essential as you consult and design Documentum solutions considering feasibility, business value, IT architecture, security requirements, usability, and cost-efficiency.
Utilizing your experience developing/configuration Documentum solutions in business environments from conceptualization, implementation to ongoing operations, you will ensure solutions are implemented per functional requirements.
Demonstrating your experience with Documentum platform and your exposure to technologies like Documentum software 16.7 and higher, WebTop and D2 Classic & SmartView frontend, Content & Index Server, ADTS, DFC, Java & Web technologies, Windows & Tomcat server, LDAP, Eclipse & GIT, you will contribute to the robust operation of the Documentum platform and continue to drive the solutions and our internal business partners.
Relying on your experience working in an agile DevOps environment including tools like Jira/Confluence (Scrum Master or similar certification is an asset), you will contribute to our product service and to projects to implement Documentum solutions.
Collaborating as a team player with an agile mindset, cultural and organizational awareness, ability to collaborate within and beyond team barriers and desire to add value for BASF, you will strive for daily operational success in the DevOps team, with a strong focus on business outcomes.
Your effective communication skills will serve you well as you act as regional representative of the global Documentum Team in North America, feeding information to and from the region.
