We are seeking a professional like you to join our Procurement Negotiation team in NA Coatings. In this position, you will focus primarily on negotiations for Raw Materials by utilizing your experience in commercial negotiations your background & education, your knowledge on sourcing tools/databases/processes, your advanced communication skills and your ability to handle multiple tasks, as well as your strong teamwork skills. If you thrive in a fast-paced environment and enjoy driving multiple diversified negotiations, our team is a perfect fit for you! This role in on site three days a week in our Southfield, MI headquarters.
As a Procurement Negotiation Mgmt, You Create Chemistry By...
Organizing you negotiation with a proper plan including well designed targets with our Procurement strategy team
Managing your negotiation tactics and strategy to achieve the best results to BASF
Position yourself as an expert capable of anticipating challenges, understanding stakeholder interests, and making informed decisions that benefit your procurement objectives
Your prowess in analyzing complex situations, identifying common ground, and proposing creative solutions will set you apart as a procurement negotiation expert who can address challenges and achieve optimal results for all parties involved
Using existing tools to document properly the negotiation outcomes as well as the learnings of the negotitations
Supporting and getting support from our global negotiation communication with experts across different regions
If you...
Bachelor’s degree and 5-8 years’ experience in business.
Experience in commercial areas, ideally raw materials for chemical industry
Experience in negotiation, preferably with procurement
Must understand chemical business/technical acumen.
Ability to communicate and execute.
SAP and multi-lingual a plus.
Will travel 20%. (Mainly US and Europe)
Strong organizational skills.
