We also partner closely with our customers to optimize their paint shop application processes to ensure the best end result on their vehicles. We are seeking a professional like you to serve as Supply Chain Digitalization Manager for our Automotive OEM business! This role would be on site three days a week at our Southfield, Michigan headquarters with responsibility for the overall supply chain digital strategy.

As a key leader within the Coatings Supply Chain Organization and Americas Supply Chain leadership team, we will rely on you to support the creation of the long term global digital strategy with the major focus on adapting the digital strategy and roadmap to regional needs. You will manage the effective implementation and execution of the digitalization roadmap in the Americas. You will be critical to ensuring the supply chain organization moves to the next level through the implementation and optimization of both new and existing tools that allow our supply chain teams to improve efficiency, cost and customer service.
What you'll do...
Your strong knowledge of supply chain management and operational concepts to support the development of an advanced long term digital strategy, aligned globally, that takes the Americas team to the next level in efficiency and optimization
Managing all aspects of digital project management including the project development, budgeting, scouting for suppliers and working closely with selected suppliers and/or internal developers, and project execution on time and on budget. This includes coordinating internal and external stakeholders, supporting the exchanges among all relevant parties and functions as well as implementing a successful change management process
Demonstrating a thorough knowledge of supply chain to bring best practices to BASF, you will leverage digital technologies to capture big data produced by each step of the process and then use data analytics to ensure that the Americas supply chain team are equipped with actionable insights to plan, manage, and strategize effectively
Ensuring that different supply chain tools work together to optimize process integration and alignment across all supply chain processes and regions, which involves bringing accurate data and processes together under one unified platform to provide end-to-end visibility and support the business to more effectively meet inventory and cost targets

Your strong knowledge of Supply Chain Management and Manufacturing concepts is essential as you will identify and implement improvements in Supply Chain Management policies and processes to ensure end-to-end accountability needed in the business to improve delivery reliability and drive growth for Coatings.
If you...
Supply Chain or Business degree; MBA preferred
Experience in supply chain – planning, manufacturing, or warehouse management with the ability to leverage best practice supply chain concepts within BASF and externally
Digital know-how and enthusiasm for data as well as experience with agile working methods
Strong skills relative to project coordination, time management, multi-tasking, and delivering on commitments is critical to this role
Superior analytical skills, combined with your thorough knowledge of current SCM concepts and SAP/ERP systems
Interpersonal skills with the ability to influence and impact supply chain colleagues both regionally and globally, as well as other functions within the organization
