In this role, you will be responsible for managing all supply chain planning processes and systems for the assigned portfolio of materials for the Refinish Coating business in North America G-ECR. This includes inventory management and strategy, Negotiation and Business Rules management with external and internal providers, establishing and updating MRP settings, evaluation of optimal service models, order execution, KPI performance, material master data and being a key contributor to the S&OP process. The role requires collaboration with Customer Care, Logistics, Procurement, Product Management, Production and Raw Material Planners and Third-Party Service Providers. This position reports to the Supply Chain Planning Manager G-ECR and will be based in our Southfield, MI headquarters.

As a Supply Chain Planner III - Automotive Refinish, you create chemistry by...

  • Managing supply and inventory levels for the assigned product portfolio using netted demand in support of inventory targets and delivery reliability goals.

  • Monitoring orders, stock status, and MRP exception messages in SAP, ensuring products are available to support the business plan. Pro-actively audit master data in SAP, including purchasing agreements, ATP, article extensions, etc.

  • Interfacing with Customer Care regarding available to promise and backorders.

  • Successfully engaging with Product Management and Internal and Third-party providers, you will identify, negotiate, and bring to resolution any demand/supply imbalances in support of new product launch activities and business growth initiatives.

  • Identifying and managing dysfunctional inventories and recommending and pursuing appropriate disposition.

  • Ensuring optimal inventories, warehouse prioritization, network optimization.

  • Analyzing KPI trends to identify areas of opportunity and implement improvement where applicable.

  • Engaging in the Sales & Operations Planning process by preparing relevant data, updating KPI's (inventory analysis, supply risks and opportunities, etc.)

If you have...

  • Bachelor's in Supply Chain Management or Business preferred. Will consider lesser education and 10+ years relevant expertise.

  • Experience in Supply Chain or business-related field (ex: Customer Care, Supply Chain, Product Management, Procurement, Operations, Production).

  • Excellent internal and external customer focus and interpersonal skills in all forms of communication.

  • SAP experience.

  • Proven experience in driving innovation and continuous improvement.

  • Strong experience and knowledge of digital tools, including Microsoft Office products (Excel, Power BI).

  • Strong analytical thinking capability and proven ability to work effectively in a team environment.
