The BASF Sparks site located in Sparks, Georgia formulates and packages agricultural pesticides for global distribution. The Project Manager is a critical role within the site as you will provide a key point for investment to ensure we stay at the leading edge of the industry. You will be the focal point of responsibility, authority, and accountability of these capital investments. We are looking for a results-oriented leader who can build strong working relationships and function effectively at all levels of the organization.

As a Project Manager, you create chemistry by...

  • Developing project scopes, cost estimates, and appropriation funding requests.

  • Requesting and coordinating process and discipline engineering and design resources.

  • Developing and maintaining partnerships with project manufacturing representatives.

  • Monitoring and supporting construction activities to ensure compliance with design deliverables and quality standards.

  • Ensuring compliance with environmental, safety, and health requirements.

  • Performing procurement support activities, such as preparing specifications and evaluating bids.

  • Maintaining project data entries in SAP and monitoring project progress.

  • Providing engineering support for process troubleshooting, reliability improvements, and problem-solving.

  • Creating and referencing various technical documents and diagrams.

  • Being responsible for successfully managing capital projects, ensuring safety and compliance, and providing technical support for operations and maintenance.

  • Often called upon to contribute from their expertise in a technology or engineering discipline to a critical feasibility study for an investment or to a high visibility plant troubleshooting situation, with important current or future financial implications to a business.

If you...

  • Possess a Bachelor's degree in Engineering (Chemical or Mechanical preferred) or a related field.

  • Have 10 or more years of project management experience. Engineering and/or plant maintenance experience, could also be considered.

  • Exhibit the ability to develop project scopes, generate cost estimates, and prepare appropriation funding requests.

  • Show strong project management skills to monitor and support construction activities.

  • Utilize proficiency in using SAP for maintaining project data entries and monitoring project progress, strongly preferred.

  • Display familiarity with creating and referencing technical documents and diagrams.

  • Able to travel up to 5% domestically
