Where the Chemistry Happens…

QA QC Technical I (2200060)- St. Louis, MO

We are seeking a professional like you to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for ensuring products are produced within specifications. This includes monitoring and auditing production of manufactured goods, inspecting incoming components and inspecting purchased finished goods.

This is a 2 nd shift position with working hours of 2 pm – 1230 am Monday through Thursday.

Responsibilities:

Monitor and audit production process for manufactured goods.

Evaluate returned goods and customer complaints, provide expertise and support for manufacturing, and/or prepare and test raw material, in-process and finished good samples for review by QA Analysts, QA Coordinator or QA Manager.

Perform physical testing and finished good inspections.

Inspect incoming components and purchased finished goods.

Maintain records and reports associated with the function including SAP transactions.

Assist in investigating quality issues.

Perform microbiology testing.

Expected to work with internal BASF peers to develop and implement best practices for quality control systems.

Ability to work independently and able to make decisions to stop manufacturing for further investigation. Also need to determine when to have further investigation for incoming components or raw materials.

Daily interactions with all plant personnel (operators, distribution, maintenance, other QA team members). Also routinely interacts with process engineers and supply chain. Work with vendors and suppliers, along with supply chain, to gain supporting documentation for quality shipments.

Works with all products produced on site and components received.

Services the St. Louis site, including liquids, dusts, granular, gels and termite.

Formula for Success:

Your knowledge and experience using measurement devices, such as calipers and gauges, will be essential as you perform physical testing, and inspect incoming components and purchased finished goods.

Your excellent communication skills will serve you well as you communicate quality issues with other departments.

Demonstrating your problem-solving ability, you will assist in investigating quality issues and determining root causes and corrective actions.

Using your proficiency in computers you will maintain records and reports associated with the function including SAP transactions.

Utilizing your manufacturing experience to monitor and audit production process for manufactured goods and evaluate returned goods and customer complaints.

Demonstrating your attention to detail and ability to follow written instructions, you will prepare and test raw materials, in-process and finished good samples for review by QA Analysts, QA Coordinator or QA Manager.

Your experience with HPLC would be a valued asset as you analyze in-process materials for conformance to specifications.

Ingredients for Success: What We Look For in You…

Basic qualifications:

High School Diploma or GED.

3 years of experience in quality control, quality assurance, or manufacturing.

3 years of experience with reading measurement devices such as calipers and gauges.

Preferred qualifications:

BS degree in chemistry preferred
