Where the Chemistry Happens…

Utility Operator 2 nd Shift - St. Louis, MO

The Utility Operator will work second shift from 2:00 p.m. until 10:30 p.m. This position is responsible for performing various production tasks with quality, and in a safe, economical and technically feasible manner.

Your responsibilities would also include:

  • Lead line activities and be knowledgeable of and follow all Environmental, Health, and Safety practices - Execution of daily activities ensuring production deadlines are met in a safe and timely manner - Participate in job related training.

  • Ability of being crossed trained and train others in various work-related areas and processes.

  • Ability to setup, operate, monitor and adjust production related equipment to assure safe equipment operation and product quality.

  • Follow SOP and assist in developing SOP's as required by job assignments.

  • Assist Maintenance Technicians in equipment troubleshooting, inspection, calibration and repair as necessary; perform minor maintenance when required.

  • Lead Housekeeping and 5S Teams to assure sustainability.

  • Control product quality through communicating item damage or off spec condition that exist to QC.

  • Utility Operator will direct activities in absence of Production Supervisor

  • Other duties as assigned by supervisors.

Ingredients for Success: What We Look For in You…

Basic Qualifications:

  • High School Diploma or equivalent

  • 3 years of production, operations or manufacturing experience

  • 1 year experience troubleshooting and repairing mechanical equipment

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Basic Computer skills

  • 1 year of leadership experience

  • Maintenance or Technical education (apprenticeship, certificate or degree)
