Description - External
This position reports into the Freeport Site Development Group (NCF). NCF provides regional leadership for operational excellence, ensures energy sustainability and efficiency and develops site infrastructure, assets and capabilities to help the site reach its growth and profitability targets.
Lead development of strategies for production of utilities, including steam, electricity, demineralized water, cooling water, compressed air, wastewater treatment and other utilities.
Establish and maintain a strong, formal energy efficiency program through the use of technology, reporting systems and plant reviews in order to optimize energy usage.
Review investment proposals which involve energy production, conservation or significant consumption to assure proper use of technology and correct economic evaluation.
Develop site energy concepts for Freeport by the analysis of present and future demands, condition of production facilities and impacts of potential efficiency programs
Support NC/S efforts regarding site selection in North America by evaluation, analysis and recommendation for infrastructure facilities and energy/utility costs for future location investments or expansions.
Assist in infrastructure analysis and investment planning.
Support site development planning.
Support value chain objectives critical to long term strategy growth for North America, especially regarding energy optimization.
Serve as a liaison between NCF, ZOT and ESI/T for CoS technical evaluations of infrastructure projects.
Work with state and federal officials as well as other companies to positively affect governmental regulations and legislation that affect energy and utilities.

Qualifications - External
Bachelors’ of Science in Electrical or Chemical Engineering required.
5-7 years of experience in utilities, process plant operations and/or engineering required.
Fundamental understanding of energy supply industries preferred.
Understanding of basic economic principles and investment evaluations preferred.
Ability to lead teams without direct supervisory responsibility.
Strong interpersonal communication and team building skills.
Strong results orientation.
Experience in matrix organization preferred.
Any travel required will be <5%.
