Where the Chemistry Happens…

This position will be based in Toronto, ON coordinating and supporting all Engineering and Project activities across Canada, including team members located at other locations (i.e. Windsor). This role reports administratively & functionally to the Manager – Engineer Services BASF Canada.

Formula for Success: You Will…

  • Support Engineering & Maintenance team members across BASF Canada sites

  • Create, manage and maintain common e-sharing platforms for the team

  • Visit various BASF Canadian sites as necessary for training & to support relevant databases

  • Project documentation management and sharing for all Canadian sites

  • Attend project status meetings

  • Other administrative tasks as needed

  • SAP and Project Data Management:

  • Manage an MS Access Service Demand Management Portal, including communicating with Site Managers and Engineers regarding service requests. Knowledge of MS Access is preferred.

  • Develop flowcharts and process maps for new workflows being developed in the Engineering Services Department.

  • Create, manage and distribute excel-based reports regarding project deliverables. Knowledge of Pivot Tables, V-Lookups and advanced excel functionality is preferred.

  • Enter Internal Orders, Purchase Orders and billing information into SAP. Knowledge and past experience with SAP is preferred.

Ingredients for Success: What We Look for in You…

  • Working towards completion of Engineering degree preferably in Chemical or Mechanical Engineering

  • Previous experience in supporting Engineering Services (Project or Maintenance) is preferred.

  • Proven organization skills in planning, task management & co-ordination

  • Demonstrated administrative support in project management

  • Strong interpersonal and communication

  • Effective team player in supporting all team members

  • Up to 10% travel is expected, subject to business needs and changing environment

  • Working knowledge of MS Access, MS Excel and Autodesk AutoCAD
