Where the Chemistry Happens…

The Asset Manager provides leadership, direction, and focus for all manufacturing, asset and maintenance strategies and investments.

Asset Manager- Remote

You will be responsible for a broad range of activities, which includes creation and execution of the EDN manufacturing and asset strategy, site development strategies, project management, coordinate the maintenance improvement plan for the ED sites in NA and lead our tolling activities. You will be a member of the EDN Operations Leadership Team and will interact with all EDN functions as well as enable functions/organizations across BASF in fulfilling the mission of the business and sites, ensuring customer satisfaction, and achieving operational excellence.

Formula for Success: You Will…

  • Continue to develop and execute the EDN Manufacturing and Asset Strategy, coordinating with our 6 manufacturing sites, EDN’s commercial team, product management, supply chain, technology, process development and controlling.

  • Actively manage strategic investment projects associated to capacity increase and expansion.

  • Drive a culture where continuous improvement, breakthrough performance, and an enjoyable work environment are expectations of all team members.

  • Identify and manage operational risks including EHS, regulatory, quality, cost, equipment optimization, and reliability.

  • Coordinate Maintenance and Reliability Strategy for N-EDN, providing guidance and technical support to ED sites, developing strategy and supporting the implementation of improvement plans, ensuring a reliable operation.

  • Coordinate OAE and capacity development plans.

  • Coordinate development of annual capital investment plans including prioritization and submittal to ED global. Serve as EDN contact within Capital Community for ED.

  • Manage third party manufacturing as an important part of our business strategy through company selection, quality and safety audits, and production execution in concert with commercial and technical teams

Ingredients for Success: What We Look For in You…

You will have a broad and varied background in manufacturing, business, and capital project management.

  • BS degree 8 years of overall experience. A technical degree is highly preferred.

  • Demonstrated leadership and change management including peer influencing.

  • Developed organizational, planning, and problem-solving skills.

  • Highly motivated and works independently with general supervision.

  • Effective and clear communication.


  • An MBA.

  • Experience in all aspects of capital project management including Scheduling, Cost Estimating, Scoping, Safety Reviews, Procurement, Construction, and Commissioning.

  • Experience with asset reliability and maintenance strategy.

  • Working knowledge of SAP.
