Sales Account Manager Biopolymer, Joncryl and 3S (2202533) – Remote USA

Where the Chemistry Happens

We are seeking a professional like you to join our North American biopolymers team as sales account manager for Biopolymers, Joncryl and 3S in the USA. You will report to the Regional Business Manager-North America-Biopolymers. The biopolymers team is part of the Specialty Polymers group in North America, which belongs to the dynamic global business unit Specialty Polymers within (PM), Performance Materials business unit at BASF. In this role, you will be responsible for managing and growing major accounts in the US for the three product groups and taking charge of the operational and strategic relationship with the customers.

Formula for Success

  • Leveraging your education in business or technical disciplines and your commercial experiences, you will be responsible for managing existing customer accounts for Biopolymers, Joncryl and 3S modifiers in the US and be accountable for protecting and growing their business with BASF.

  • Relying on your business acumen, you will be responsible for managing pricing and margins, sales forecasting, account planning and new business development with the existing accounts.

  • You will work closely with Regional Business Manager to successfully identify and create new customer accounts to support regional sales growth strategies.

  • Your excellent customer focus will be imperative as you will interact with various functions and levels of the targeted customers from technical, procurement to management. You will identify their needs to help solve current challenges and proactively propose innovative solutions with BASF materials to support future growth.

  • Combining your superior communication skills and organizational awareness, you will be collaborating and influencing the entire specialty polymers global organization including Sales, Marketing, Supply Chain, Technical, Controlling and Finance units to ensure buy-in is gained and achieve results

  • Utilizing your track record in navigating complexities, you will define top priorities in the short-term and long-term to grow your accounts and identify opportunities and risks for the sustainable future of the business
