Controller: Consumer Industry\Performance Materials\Operations – Wyandotte, MI

Where the Chemistry Happens…

Reporting to the Director, Business Unit Controlling - Performance Materials (PMU) North America, the Controller – Consumer Industry/PMU/Operations is a key member of the Consumer Industry and Operations Management Teams and as such, partners with management in driving short, medium and long-term decisions of the business. Provides advice and counsel regarding profit, risk, asset management, and cash flow consideration. The Controller must develop realistic, yet challenging, budgets for the business, formulating both operational and strategic plans. The Controller will take an active role in giving operational support to the business, coordinating different functions in their interaction towards achieving and maintaining a Customer Driven Organization. As a leader, responsible for the development, coaching and performance management of four direct reports (Senior Accounting Analysts).

  • Your extensive, strategic and in-depth experience in financial and economic operational quantitative analysis, forecasting, financial planning, budgeting and data modeling, coupled with your strong financial acumen, cost accounting principles and systems knowledge will prove to be critical keys to your success in:

  • Planning and performance management (Reporting/forecasting/Operational Planning/Strategic planning/target setting/budgets)

  • Business Analysis and Steering (Economic evaluation/New business development/Asset management)

  • Governance & compliance (internal controls, policies& procedures, safe- guarding assets

  • Your demonstrated leadership skills will be leveraged as you build and lead cross functions teams and provide direction and development to your direct reports supporting Operations Controlling, and as you foster an environment of talent development

  • Your active participation as a key contributing team member will provide financial leadership to the Consumer Industry and Operations teams

  • Your ongoing focus on continuous improvement will position you as a change agent within the business as you proactively identify, communicate and implement opportunities for process efficiencies which improve business performance

  • Your engagement as a key team member of the PMN Controlling team will foster a collaborative environment with focus on continuous improvement in controlling processes
