Maintenance Engineer (2201470) – Wyandotte, MI
Where the Chemistry Happens
We are looking for a professional like you to join our team and be responsible for implementing Maintenance engineering concepts for assets used in production processes. In this role, you will improve asset effectiveness and availability by reducing unplanned technical losses, creating equipment care strategies, investigating failure modes and developing methods to prevent reoccurrence, as well as involvement in capital project design and equipment selection.
Your experience working with CMMS software in creating, modifying, and managing preventive maintenance strategies will be key to your success in this role.
Formula for Success
Relying upon your strong background in equipment troubleshooting, your robust knowledge of mechanical equipment design and understanding of maintenance and reliability activities, you will provide Maintenance and Reliability Engineering services to operating units on the Wyandotte site.
Displaying your robust leadership skills, you will lead Root Cause Failure Analyses (RCFAs) and corrective actions for complex or repetitive problems, manage a diverse team during investigation phase, as well as assign action items to prevent future occurrences.
Leveraging your education in Mechanical or Chemical Engineering and your experience in progressive maintenance and reliability engineering roles, you will support capital projects by supplying engineering expertise in the specification, design, and construction of capital projects in accordance with plant design requirements as well as regulatory and BASF standards.
Focused on planning, you will establish, standardize, monitor, and optimize Preventative Maintenance Plans.
Demonstrating your keen attention to detail, you will develop and review BOMs for plant assets.
Using your sound technical knowledge of instrumentation, electrical, and mechanical equipment, you will provide first line technical support to maintenance teams to solve technical challenges. Additionally, you will use this knowledge to provide troubleshooting support and recommendations to operating units, including emergency work reviews.
Your understanding of critical maintenance activities, i.e. static and rotating mechanical equipment repairs will be essential as you interpret codes, regulations, and standards and develop disciplined and systematic equipment Maintenance strategy.
Applying your experience utilizing and interpreting PdM tools for equipment condition evaluation and improvement, you will identify asset improvement opportunities by reviewing asset effectiveness data, as well as ensuring maintenance and asset effective costs are in alignment.
