Where the Chemistry Happens
The Chemical Monomers operating division, located in Wyandotte, MI, is seeking a motivated individual with demonstrated leadership skills to facilitate and manage product innovation, marketing, and New Business Development activities for Chemical Monomers. As a people manager, your team will be responsible for innovation Phase gate proposals, existing product budget management, product launches, and regional strategy developments.

Being responsible for the CMN RBU Customer Experience (NPS, Salesforce.com, Salesforce Marketing Cloud) and Sustainability roadmap execution.
Representing Chemical Monomers as a member of the global CM product development team – supporting the organization of innovation workshops at a global and regional level.
Leading the launch of new products and technologies, with a focus on aligning value propositions with customer needs and optimizing value creation for BASF through innovation. Also, supporting your team new ideas for innovation related to product, application, digitalization and/or sustainability. Define and start projects, assemble and manage internal and external resources, drive initiatives to full completion and ensure execution in compliance project timelines, as well as safety and regulatory requirements.
Supporting commercial teams with analyses, marketing solutions and optimal use of business processes.
Ensuring availability of adequate data, tools and resources for use by the business teams and leadership teams, regionally and globally. Also, maintaining strong lines of communication with corporate functions and other regions to support the implementation of company-wide strategic initiatives at the regional level.
Your formula for success…
Bachelor’s degree in technical or business field required. PhD chemistry strongly preferred.
Minimum 5 years of work experience in a marketing, innovation, or business management role. Previous polyurethane value chain experience is a plus.
Strong customer focus with solid business and financial acumen
Strong interpersonal and communication skills with ability to think strategically and develop your team members.
Ability to collaborate in a cross functional / cross regional manner for achievement.
