Sample Coordinator (1901852) – Wyandotte, MI
Where the Chemistry Happens
In this role, you will be responsible for the Sample order fulfillment process including order entry and processing, order maintenance, ensuring legal/regulatory compliance, resolving conflicts and issues, working with partners to eliminate blocks (regulatory, foreign trade compliance, and Dangerous Goods,), and ensuring customer service excellence with a focus on speed and accuracy. You will work with the BASF logistics provider for transportation and export documentation requirements. You will proactively take necessary action to resolve issues between affiliate requirements and BASF’s ability to satisfy customer requirements in the most efficient manner.

Utilizing analytical andproblem-solving abilities, you will successfully manage order exceptionsand issues, provide decision support and information cross functionally,expand customer relationships, and support a blend of transactional andstrategic portfolio initiatives.
Your computer proficiency,especially in SAP and MS Office, will be a valued asset as you enter, orprocess purchase and sales orders in BASF IT systems, check and create customsinvoices for shipment, and manage / provide all export and transportdocumentation needed by affiliate customers for shipment execution.
Working proactively, you willmonitor work queues to ensure demands can be fulfilled as required. Thiswill require a thorough understanding of all SAP processes including regulatoryreleases, BASF sample shipping policies, master data and order to shipment.
Your business acumen,commitment to continuous improvement, and robust analytical skills will beessential as you effectively streamline new, unfamiliar, unique ororiginal situations. Must be aggressive and imaginative with the abilityto “think out of the box” to accomplish goals.
