As a member of the North America Supply Chain team, you will support the overall success of the Dispersions & Resins business in North America. Your role as the Supply Chain Planner is to manage an assigned product portfolio in support of customer delivery service goals, inventory targets and optimize service costs.
Formula for Success
Leveraging your educational and professional background in Supply Chain, Logistics, Engineering, Operations, or a related field, you will manage production planning and inventory management as a member of the supply chain planning team in Wyandotte, MI which is a key production site for the Dispersions and Resins business
Using your experience in operations, supply chain processes, and ERP (preferably SAP), you will execute Material Requirements Planning (MRP), to determine net production requirements, finite planning, establishing inventory targets, and safety stock levels to support excellent customer on-time deliveries.
Effectively coordinating with other stakeholders, you will work with Procurement, Business Management and Product Management to establish bulk finished goods and packaging alternatives, trial plans, secondary suppliers, and to optimize cost and service for BASF and other 3rd party packaging sites.
Engaging across the business, you will perform business-critical tasks including development of supply strategies with BASF 3rd parties, addressing supply and demand imbalances, and minimization of dysfunctional inventory
Your problem-solving and analytical skills will be essential as you represent the site during Supply & Operational Planning reviews, coordinate network supply balancing across our Dispersions sites, and manage supply constraints together with the Customer Support and Product Management teams.
Your strong interpersonal and communication skills will be essential to build strong relationships and process improvements with the operations, quality, engineering, and logistics teams at the Wyandotte site to drive asset effectiveness, coordinate downtime planning, and optimize costs and material flows.
Relying on your passion for continuous improvement, you will identify and execute operational excellence projects with a Lean Six Sigma methodology ensuring long-term success for the Wyandotte supply chain processes
