We are looking for an Operator to join our PM team in Wyandotte, MI.

As a Chemical Plant Operator for our Wyandotte TPU Plant, you will be responsible for all aspects of personal safety, product quality, and operating all aspects of the synthesis and extrusion lines and their auxiliary and utility equipment including truck unloading and packout. Work 14 out of 28 days in a 12-hour rotating shift.

During your 12-hour rotating day/night shift as a TPU Operator, you will

  • Operating PLC systems and environmental control systems

  • Reading, recording, and interpreting data from various industrial equipment such as beltlines and extruders

  • Making safe, prompt, and effective corrective adjustments to ensure efficient production, including troubleshooting

  • Controlling flows, pressures, reactions, temperatures, and material makeup for batch sheets and formula cards

  • Handling transfer of solutions/batches and loading/unloading chemicals from tanks, trucks, and rail cars

  • Performing maintenance tasks such as visual inspections of operating equipment

  • Following verbal and written instructions from the Shift Supervisor, standard procedures, batch sheets, and loading sheets

  • Cross-training in additional production areas andsupportingteam members in tasks and problem-solving

  • Participating in miscellaneous duties such as painting, cleanouts, assistance during plant outages, and maintaining operating condition of key equipment.

If you...

  • Possess a High School Diploma/GED or minimum of 6 months experience in manufacturing or production environment

  • Are open to 12-hour rotating day/night shifts, holidays, weekends, and overtime

  • Possess intermediate computer skills (computerized process system, internet, email, MS Office, SAP, etc.)

  • Are willing to comply with site respirator policies by grooming facial hair accordingly (if applicable)

  • Are willing to work for prolonged periods in indoor/outdoor settings while wearing proper PPE

  • Are able to engage in high activity tasks including standing, walking, climbing ladders/stairs, and lifting up to 50 lbs. (with reasonable accommodation if needed)
